Do You Have Bad Credit and Need a Car

You may not consider yourself the kind of person who would need to apply for a New York bad credit car loan. If you’ve been getting turned down by lenders lately, however, then this may be a sign that your credit isn’t quite as good as you think it is. Lots of little things, such as late payments, can quickly add up to a less than perfect score and can cause you to be stuck going the applying for car loan with bad credit route. And, while there’s certainly nothing wrong with that route, it’s important to be aware of your current credit
standing.

Just as getting turned down for car loans is a sign of bad credit, there are other signs to be mindful of as well. For example, you should take notice if:

l  You’re getting turned down for credit cards
l  You regularly receive calls (even “friendly reminders”) from debt collectors
l  You require a co-signer for loans
l  You have trouble finding a place to live (buying or renting)
l  You’re being offered higher interest rates
l  Your credit cards are being closed
l  One or more accounts are being handled by a debt collection agency

Of course, you don’t have to go by just these signs alone. At any time, you can access your credit report for free online. If that credit report comes back less than perfect, then it’s time to do some cleaning up so that you can reestablish your credit.
